What is volleyball?
Volleyball is an Olympic sport where two teams are separated by a high net by hand or (rarely) other parts of the body to hit or slap a ball beyond the net to the opponent .Each team with six players is allowed to hit the ball three times in a row. Points are calculated when the ball falls into the opponent's court, the opponent makes a mistake or the opponent fails to return the ball properly.
Volleyball is an active sport. Due to the many attacks requiring players to touch the ball over the net, jumping ability is emphasized in this game.
Volleyball in Malaysia started around the 1920s in Penang. It was popularized by students who had just returned from Chi-Nan University, Shanghai, before growing in Selangor and other states.
Volleyball sport rules
As a person who wants or interested in volleyball we need to know the basics of volleyball before starting to play. This is because we want to make sure we do not make a small mistake.
volleyball court
A 9 x 18 meter volleyball court divided a net into two squares of one meter wide. 2.43 meters high net ring from the center area for male stage and 2.24 meters for female level. The minimum clearance height for the proposed closed loop court is 7 m, but the height above 8 m is also recommended.
The International Federation of Volleyball (FIVR) sets out that the ball used should:
-shaped spheres,
-made from natural or synthetic animal skins,
-
Red gauge of 65-67 cm,-make weight of 260-280 g
- has internal pressure between 0.30-0.325 kg / sm2.
Eye picking
When a ball touches the floor in a court setting or a fault service is made, the opposite force is given one point whether they are servicing or otherwise. The ball is counted in if it touches the line. The team that won one point after the service can make the opening service round the setter round. If the winning team did not serve the previous eye, then the servicing team would change their position clockwise. The game will continue until any team reaches 25 points in advance to win the set. The match has five sets where the last set is played up to 15 points in advance of any team.
Service Technique
Today's service is no longer the beginning of a game or simply serving the ball, but as a first attack for the servicing squad.
Hand down service
At first the player stood in the service compartment with left foot more forward from the right foot.
